Spring is in the air! Birds are moving back home and others are off to distant lands. Action Rentals is on the move as well, heading South to our Summer location, and North to Eureka!
Our ATV Track will host our Rental Office this summer.
Besides being our educational and racing location: our ATV track offers better access to more trails. It also gives us the opportunity to utilize the track for practice driving time should you want it. Our new location, 6235 Highway 93, is already live on Google Maps! With this move we are also able to offer a comfortable and- dare we say- unparalleled, waiting area!
Our northern office will be near the Koocanusa Reservoir- stay tuned for more info on that later this week. We have yet to decide if we’ll open an office to the east of us for our Slingshot rentals, for ease of touring Glacier National Park. We’ll let you know as soon as we’ve decided. In the meantime:
COVID-19 concerns have all of us considering and implementing new practices.
We are no exception. If anything, this Pandemic has put us on double duty! Utilizing new procedures and adjusting to a phase-in approach to opening for the season, has been interesting to say the least. Especially during a big move. Keeping you distanced from those outside of your family or household was a bit of a concern for us, at first. But then we realized we have 11 acres to ensure you do not have to be right next to anyone and you can kick back and relax, take in the track activities, or just visit with each other while you wait.
Waiting is now relative…
We took time to research and discuss best practices. We considered OSHA, CDC, WHO and our local EMS input in our research. Since then we have implemented some new strategies to keep our employees and our guests safe. From plastic shields between a guest and staff at the desk, to offering additional seating overlooking our ATV park, to ensure social distancing of 6′, and more.
One of the most important strategies is beefing up the online rental process. We strongly encourage you to use the links in our confirmation email to pre-fill your rental agreement; purchase the State Recreational Use Permit and pay prior to arrival. Not only does this ensure a contactless transaction; it has decreased the rental process time by 20 minutes! Simply bring your driver license and the card you used for payment so we can identify you and protect against theft, and you’ll be ready to gear up and get on the trails.
Gearing up includes trying on helmets.
It’s inevitable that along the way, someone isn’t going to get the right size on the first try. So we’ve implemented new staggering arrival times to ensure helmets can be properly sanitized between try-ons. Please watch your email for an exact arrival time, which can be different from your reservation time.
We’ve also added optional linings for the helmets and while we have requested new face masks, as I’m sure you can guess: Most are back ordered. In the mean time we still have bandanas and have also picked up a few open face helmets for those who want the added assurance.
Once geared up- you’ll move through a supervised safety walk through via video. Your reservation agent will make sure you’re confident and ready to drive off on your adventure.
Necessity being the mother of invention – these guys rocked it when it came to ideas!
While we are still there, we’re just a few extra feet away. That makes it a bit difficult to chat with you. So our staff came up with the idea of the video. We actually can’t wait to try this method out.
We hope that we’ve helped to reassure you when making your travel plans. Please abide by all state rules and restrictions. If you’re traveling from out of state, make sure you take seriously the 14 day quarantine. Protect yourself and others. We’ll still be here when that restriction has been lifted and we can all adventure together again!
In the mean time, stay safe and healthy!
See you soon.
